MaCS Privacy Statement

MaCS, Inc.(“MaCS”) believes that the responsible use of personal information collected on its Web site/s (“Site”) is critical to its business objectives and industry reputation. MaCS is committed to protecting the privacy of visitors of our Site. As part of our commitment to privacy, we have adopted this Privacy Statement. The extent and type of information we receive from you on our external Site depends on the information you provide to us through our contact mailboxes and/or through the registration processes on our Site.

Applicability

This MaCS Privacy Statement shall only apply to information provided to us via this Site in the United States and not from any other sites of MaCS’ affiliates or parent entities for which separate privacy rules may apply. In addition, this Privacy Statement does not apply to the practices of companies that MaCS does not own or control or of people whom MaCS does not manage or employ.

Collection, Use and Sharing of Information

MaCS is the sole owner of the information collected on this Site, unless indicated otherwise. Our site collects non-personally identifiable information about you, such as the server your computer is logged onto and your browser type (for example, Netscape or Internet Explorer). MaCS does, however, collect "personally identifiable information" (information that can be linked to you personally) about you (hereinafter “PII") through this Site. Any information and PII you provide to us will be retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which the information was collected or as required by law. We do not share personal information with third parties outside MaCS or its affiliates, except as necessary to carry out our business or as required by law or other legal processes, and we never sell your personal information.

Furthermore, any data and PII collected by MaCS may be transferred to affiliates and parent entities of MaCS where it is necessary to meet the purpose for which you have submitted the information. By submitting data through MaCS electronically, you are providing explicit consent to trans-border transmission of data collected via MaCS's Site unless prohibited or restricted by local laws of such non-U.S. jurisdiction.

Cookies

"Cookies" (i.e., small text files placed on your computer when you first visit the site) are used on some of our Site. Most browsers now recognize when a cookie is offered and permit you to refuse or accept it. If you are not sure whether your browser has this capability, you should check with the software manufacturer, your company's technology help desk or your Internet Service Provider. If you'd prefer, you can set your browser to refuse Cookies, although our Site may not perform at optimum levels without Cookies.

Cookies are primarily used to enhance your online experience and are not used to track the navigational habits of identified visitors, unless we obtain your permission to do so.

If you visit our Site to read or download information, such as news stories or articles, much of the information we do collect is statistical only (e.g., the domain from which you access the Internet, the date and time you access our site, and the Internet address of the Web site from which you linked directly to our site) and not personally identifiable. We use this information about the number of visitors and their use of the sites in aggregate form to make our Site more useful and attractive to you.

Text or Log Files

A Text or Log file is a file that describes which files or Web pages a Site visitor has requested from our server(s). Like most public Web sites, our Site collects non-PII data about you when you arrive at our site through text files and your Internet Protocol (IP) address. An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you connect to the Internet; this number is not linked to any PII. The number is used by network computers to identify your computer so that data can be sent to you. MaCS collects IP addresses for system administration purposes and to gather broad demographic information about our visitors' browsing actions and patterns for aggregate use only.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to newsletters from MaCS (e.g., the “European high-tech Newsletter”), we may be able to confirm the e-mail addresses of subscribers who have clicked on URLs embedded in our message content. We collect this information to gauge user interest and to make future newsletters more useful by customizing the content provided to you.

Security

The security of your PII is important to us, and we treat our data as assets that must be protected against loss and unauthorized access. We employ reasonable and customary information-security techniques, but no security system is capable of meeting all anticipated or unanticipated security needs. Because the privacy and information security protection industry is generally one or two steps behind new software designed to access such protected information, we cannot guarantee that our data will always remain outside the reach of persons attempting to receive access to such information.

MACS DOES NOT REPRESENT OR WARRANT THAT ITS SECURITY SYSTEMS WILL BE FOOLPROOF OR ABLE TO FULFILL ANY ESSENTIAL PURPOSE, OR THAT YOUR PII OR OTHER PERSONAL INFORMATION WILL BE PROTECTED AGAINST LOSS, MISUSE OR ALTERATION BY THIRD PARTIES.

Changes

MaCS reserves the right to change its privacy policy at any time. However, if we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on our home page, (www.macs-us.com), so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it and under what circumstances, if any, we will disclose it.

If you have any questions about the security at our Site, please e-mail us at .
