MaCS supports Open Source provider Red Hat in Europe

San Francisco , September 6, 2005 – Red Hat has selected MaCS – Marketing-Communication-Services – to support the development and implementation of its European e-marketing campaigns. Red Hat is the leading worldwide provider of Open Source and Linux products to the enterprise sector and in recent years has had considerable success in the US Linux server market.

Red Hat has identified high growth potential in Europe – and in order to ensure successful development of the European Linux market via e-marketing, Red Hat has selected MaCS to act as its pan-European marketing agency. The cooperation began with a pilot project to launch the new “Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4” (RHEL 4) operating system in Europe. MaCS developed a comprehensive e-marketing concept for the Spanish market, including standalone e-mails, text ads in Linux-relevant newsletters, search engine marketing and a campaign landing page that made further information and an RHEL 4 test version available for download

The result: A successful launch for Red Hat into the Spanish market and the beginning of a fruitful relationship with MaCS.
